Mundaring Truffle Festival 8 - 9 August 2009

For one glorious, over-indulgent weekend during the height of the West Australian truffle season, the picturesque hills community of Mundaring transforms into a bustling Festival village filled with truffle-themed events, an open-air produce market, the annual Perth Hills Wine Show and much, much more.

Just 45 minutes’ drive from the centre of Perth, the 2009 Mundaring Truffle Festival offers a rare opportunity to taste, buy and learn about fresh black truffles.

Throughout the weekend, our hourly Win-a-Truffle-an-Hour prize draw offers you the chance to take home your very own fresh WA Black truffle!  $2 tickets will be available for purchase at various venues throughout the festival village and are valid in all hourly draws for the rest of the day!

Now in its third year, the Mundaring Truffle Festival is being held over the weekend of 8-9 August 2009.

Our biggest program yet is filled with events designed to excite the gourmand. So please come and join us in Mundaring for a weekend of great food, local wine and a wide range of activities designed to celebrate Western Australia’s most glamorous culinary export.

720 ABC Perth Breakfast presenter, Eoin Cameron will bring his famous wit and turn of phrase to Mundaring as MC for the Truffle Dog Demonstrations on Saturday 8 August at 10am and 12 noon. He will interview dog handler Damon Boorman as he takes the truffle dogs through their paces, providing not only fascinating but highly entertaining information sessions.
